Organization’s Mission

The National Flooring Contractors Apprenticeship Program (NFCAP) is an industryrecognized apprenticeship program registered with the Department of Labor. We aim to set a standard in the flooring industry and train a new generation of flooring tradesmen to become professionally certified. Our organization’s network is connected to 3 national vocational schools (Job Corps, YouthBuild, and Big Picture Learning) with over 200 campuses nationwide, making our program accessible to students anywhere in the nation. To ensure the best training in the industry, we have partnered with CertifiedFlooring Installers (CFI) and National Academy Floor Covering Training (NAFCT) to provide a certified 6-week training program. With this training course, we aim to give prestigious employers the opportunity to hire tradesmen with the highest standards in industry training. Therefore, NFCAP will recruit students, provide them with certified training, and placed them with the best flooring companies.

Custom Training Curriculum

We understand that each company has a distinct corporate culture, so we will personally tailor each company’s training curriculum in accordance with their unique standards. Through our comprehensive training guidelines, our program will discipline apprentices to professionally represent your company while working for your customers. We assign managers to work closely with each company in order to ensure that apprentices are receiving the proper training both online and in the classroom. Our program’s curriculum will focus on the technicality of flooring material, skill sets for different installation methods, and customer service management. When apprentices complete this 3 to 4 year program, they will receive an official certificate from the Department of Labor. Our primary goal is to train these apprentices to develop a professional corporate attitude and give your clients the best experiences possible.

Phases of Implementing Apprenticeship Program

NFCAP will analyze and research the company’s corporate culture to develop a personalized report and strategic implementation plan.
  • Identify Installation Methods
  • Identify Flooring Materials
  • Analyze Organizational Behavior with Customers
  • Analyze Organizational Behavior with Installers
  • Analyze Current Operational System for Installers
  • Identify Supply Chain of Installers
  • Identify Outreach for Prospects
  • Outline Industry Standard Training Curriculum

NFCAP will present the proposal of the strategic implementation plan. If your company agrees with the proposal, NFCAP will move to Phase 3.

NFCAP will execute the strategic plan. After one year of implementing the apprenticeship program, we will present a case study analyzing the program’s outcomes.

NFCAP will oversee and report the progress of apprentices to the Department of Labor. We will also ensure that apprentices are completing both online and offline tasks, as well as monitor whether employers are providing high quality on-the-job training set by the implementation plan.

Partnership With Give To Change Foundation

NFCAP has partnered with the Give To Change Foundation, which owns the Emmy Award winning TV Show “Give” that has been shown on NBC and is nationally broadcasted on the Oprah Winfrey Network. The Give To Change Foundation provides companies with the opportunity to make philanthropic investment into apprenticeship programs. By redirecting your company’s marketing dollars to this foundation, your company will receive a tax write-off, an episode (or series) on the Give Show, and three 30-60 second commercial spots per episode. The show will publicize the efforts your company is making to help rebuild the community, attracting new customers and employees to your company.
